Hey people, did you guys read today's TNP? Ok fine, maybe you guys read Straits times, not TNP. Anyway, the headline was, Taiwan celebrities criticising our Singapore English. You guys should go take a look at youtube, someone posted the clip on it. And the response to the clip was like 300++ and ongoing.
Well, being a Singaporean, when i read the article and watched the clip, i was a bit mad. I admit my English is not perfect and maybe i'm one of those who tarnished Singapore's English reputation. Yet, how can these Taiwanese do that???? They said its meant for entertaining purposes, how can they criticise Singapore for the sake of ENTERTAINMENT? I'm sure they will feel unhappy if we criticise them for the sake of entertainment. Hello?! it's not as if Taiwan's English is like Superb? Dumb-ass!!! i hate them!!! How can they criticise my country for the sake of ENTERTAINMENT???? ARG!!!
